WebDisk password subfolder

Hello,

I'm a user from Germay and have a question about WebDisk an different security Settings.
In German because my englisch are not the best..

Frage:
Es soll ein Teil des Speichers im Webspace soll als Art "Cloud" verwendet werden. Die Anwendung ist für den Vorstand eines Vereins.
Es soll mit mehreren Benutzern auf den gleichen Ordner zugegriffen werden. Das funktioniert.
Einige Unterordner sollen aber zusätzlich mit einem Passwort geschützt werden, damit nicht alle Benutzer den Inhalt sehen können, sondern nur einzelne user mit extra Passwort.
Ist dies möglich?

You should be able to setup access restrictions on the directories in the manner in which you are seeking by making use of the Directory Privacy feature. We document the Directory Privacy feature at:

I try in englisch! Thank you!
The problem ist this note: "This feature does not protect directories that users access via FTP, SFTP, Web Disk, or other services, or when they access files locally."
I will use the protection of a subfolder with WebDisk. Not access via browser.

I set a passwort like the description in the documention.
But if I access with WebDisk to the main folder and click to the protect subfolder, there is no query for a passwort.

Do I make somethink wrong?

Webdisk accounts are not subject to password protection in the same way that I was describing earlier, I apologize I believe I misunderstood your initial query.

You can read about webdisk here: Web Disk - Version 74 Documentation - cPanel Documentation

You can restrict a webdisk account to a specific directory and it's subdirectories but you cannot restrict it from viewing folders below the folder it's assigned to.
