    hiya,

i am having problem with the mail- in Maintenance option in cPanel is broken it needs to be pointed to catchall@mydomain.com

but when i email my host to rectify it they told me-

CPanel are currently working on a bug fix on their latest release. The
latest release has a bug in it regarding the e-mail options
available... The options affected appear to be the default e-mail
address for all unrouted mail, along with e-mail forwarding.
Unfortunatly, this bug is out of our control and will be fixed as soon
as CPanel come up with a resolution.

    Are they telling the truth...

i cant install hivemail if this problem continues..

pls someone show me the right path, should i let go my current webhost and look for new or they are fine

    thanks

    DEViL

Everything by default is sent to <username>@<yourdomain>.<tld>

    So just use that instead.

This is not a cpanel bug. Either the /etc/valiases/cardiffreloaded.co.uk file is not owned by you and you therefore cannot write to it, or there is not enough free disk space available to write the file.

I agree with Curious Too, this is not a cPanel bug and could be due to the reaons stated.

Another cause of the problem I have found is when a domain's DNS is owned by the wrong user. This has happened to me when creating a DNS zone in WHM (while logged in as root) and accidently assigning the ownership of the zone to the wrong user. Your domains should be listed in your /var/cpanel/users/username file, not in someone else's.
