    Hello,

You would want to ask your hosting provider about any such errors you are experiencing. They would be the ones able to investigate what might be happening. Your hosting provider are the ones who you purchased hosting from for the account. cPanel provides the software, but we do not handle website hosting.

    Thanks!

If the database server goes down, it needs to be fixed on the server level. There are many reason it goes down, and as suggested by Tristan your host is best for you to resolve the problem. If you have access to the server, you can go through logs and sort it out.

There is also possibility that your site's database might be overloaded because of the no. of connections.
Please try to repair it from your cPanel and see if that fix the problem.

To repair the database or databases, the option should exist in cPanel > MySQL Databases area. There is a button "Repair DB" in there.

Mostly, if you are using any script, like joomla . wordpress etc and get this error, its due to the incorrect Database details mentioned in the config file. Need to verify & correct those once and issue shall be resolved.
