Webmail seems to be working for everyone on the server except for one user.

She stopped getting her mail a couple days ago. I have sent numerous test mails to her account and they bounce back.

Here is an example of a bounce:

This maybe crazy because I'm too tired to think straight, but is the clients mail being forwarded from your system to one running Communigate Pro, or is that internal? If its being forwarded then likely the configuration on the other server is disallowing the message.

No, her mail is not being forwarded. I haven't been able to figure out what appereto.com and CommuniGate Pro are and why they are in the headers.

Just to see what would happen, I pinged ports 25 and 26 for the affected domain.

Port 25 returned:

220-server.affiliate-sites.net ESMTP Exim 4.52 #1 Sun, 10 Dec 2006 21:57:27 -060
0
220-We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited,
220 and/or bulk e-mail.
421 server.affiliate-sites.net: SMTP command timeout - closing connection

Port 26 returned:

Could not open connection to the host, on port 26: Connect failed

2 things are to be observed from the bounces:

1. The bounce message itself - "local delivery failed"
2. The message IDs from Exim:

1GtVtz-0003PE-OB
1GtTss-0003JJ-Jv

As root, from the shell:

cd /var/log
grep 1GtVtz-0003PE-OB exim_mainlog
grep 1GtTss-0003JJ-Jv exim_mainlog

The exim logs should yield some very helpful clues as to exactly what the issue is (ie: mailbox quota issue, or user's account is over its disk quota, or the email account perhaps doesn't exist, etc).

Logs do tend to tell the whole story :)

Google: "virtual_sa_userdelivery transport" "terminated by signal 11"

There's some instructions in that thread that may or may not help (worked for the person in the thread apparently).

Thank you so much!!! The user had enabled spam assassin. I disabled it and her mail is working again. :) I will tell her to leave that disabled.
