High CPU Usage Roundcube

Load spike today ...

The Roundcube (cpanelro) process was using 90% cpu. I watched it for a few minutes and saw that the PID (Process ID) was not changing. So I killed only that one process. Roundcube is not a daemon so killing the one process does not kill roundcube, it only stops the one occurance which is using up all of the resources.

cPanel 11.24.4-R35075 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9
CENTOS 4.7 i686

Same issue here, roundcube using 100% cpu and causes major problems with our servers.

Yep, it's happening for me too. Not very good :(

I think an emergency patch needs to be released. The number of users who've posted that this is a problem would be a minute fraction of those who have the issue.

I think this requires an emergency patch, we can't wait for the next version, especially those with STABLE, it will take nearly 6 months before the fix is applied to us.

No difference, latest version of STABLE (36281) is broken.

I'm running cPanel 11.24.4-S35075 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9 - CENTOS 4.7 i686 and do not update to STABLE 36281 because I'm waiting to know the response on that version.

Some times cpanelro PID get stucked just eating 5% of CPU usage, it never stays over loaded and we killed the process manually.

This is my personal point of view on server response using STABLE 35075.

First, I'd like to say how disappointed I am with cPanel developers, who ignore such an important issue. They should have released an emergency fix, instead of waiting for the next version (which takes 3+ months before its available to STABLE).

To the commenter above, the issue is still there, it doesn't happen 100% of the time, a user must first login to Roundcube and some variables must take effect.
