I've recently started having an issue with cPanel mail (on a GoDaddy shared hosting account) and it's driving me a bit batty.
When I go to "www.mydomain.com/webmail" I am able to log in, and it shows "login successful... redirecting"
Most of the time, it just sits there and either times out, or gives me the error "Unexpected condition from IMAP server, closed or corrupt connection to IMAP. Possible mailbox corruption." However, sometimes it redirects and opens normally.
I have already removed the "dovecot.index" file and let the system rebuild it on next login (which it has) but the issue still seems to exist intermittently. Are there any other files in that directory that might be causing an issue? I'm not very familiar with what each of the files do, so I have resisted the temptation to remove them all...
I'm beginning to think that this isn't an issue with cPanel at all, but rather a connection problem with GoDaddy's server. I have a second domain on a different GoDaddy server which works perfectly with no issues at all. Of course, GoDaddy no longer supports cPanel and wants me to purchase an email hosting plan, so they are no help at all.
Just trying to eliminate as many potential problem sources as possible.
Thanks everyone!
