As you can see, it returns a 500 error. The error log returns the following:

[Tue Jun 8 03:40:44 2004] [error] [client 69.168.124.253] Premature end of script headers: /usr/local/cpanel/base/wredirect.cgi

Permissions are 755 on the script, I've run fixsuexeccgiscripts, upcp --force, and rebuilt apache. No luck. Anyone have any ideas?

You've got to upgrade cPanel to the latest Edge release. There's a security fix that goes in tandem with updating apache.

The frontpage error is corrected with the newly released module... going to have to recompile again.

How long until /webmail and /cpanel redirects work again in the stable version?

I have tried the latest edge and the latest current C20 but still /webmail does not work. I get a 500 Internal Server Error.
Any advice? Thanks. (Apache has already been upgraded/OS is Red HAt 7.3))

Look for the Script Alias lines in your httpd.conf. Make sure that you have:

    ScriptAlias /webmail /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/wredirect.cgi
    ScriptAliasMatch ^/webmail/(.*) /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/wredirect.cgi

Also.. check to make sure you don't have a random entry in there some where like:

    ScriptAlias /webmail /usr/local/cpanel/base/wredirect.cgi
-if so, comment it out, and restart apache, and try again.

Last, go into /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/ and make sure the wredirect.cgi is owned as root.wheel

thanks for the post people, I was able to fix it on my system..

    What I had:
    ScriptAlias /webmail /usr/local/cpanel/scgi-sys/wredirect.cgi

Found an extra 's' in the 'cgi-sys' name.

    What I changed it to:ScriptAlias /webmail /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/wredirect.cgi

Not sure if anyone else has had a similiar problem. May have been just an oddball occurance
