    Hi,

I'm confused about the files that are created with webmail and how Horde works. I have the main account ([myusername]@[mydomain].com) and two sub accounts (sales@[mydomain].com and marketing@[mydomain].com). They show up like this in the file manager:

    /mail/[mydomain].com
    /mail/[mydomain].com/sales
    /mail/[mydomain].com/marketing
    /mail/sales
    /mail/marketing

Why are my sub accounts listed twice?

The inbox of my main account's email ([myusername]@[mydomain].com looks like this in Horde:

    INBOX
    . . . . sales
    . . . . . inbox
    . . . . marketing
    . . . . . inbox
    sales
    . . inbox
    marketing
    . . inbox
    neomail-trash
    saved-messages
    sent-mail

Here's the kicker: I can access the inboxes of the sub accounts sales@[mydomain].com and marketing@[mydomain].com. These are supposedly password protected inboxes. What gives?

I suppose the admin can change the passwords of the email accounts already, however being able to access private email accounts from a jump menu is a little strange.

    Any ideas?

All I can say to you is, your observation is correct. The account admin has access to all the mailboxes connected to the account via Horde.

    horde webmail main account

let me try to explain the situation thru the below listed accounts. i have an account say sales with 500 emails. i have created a new account in my outlook and downloaded all the emails without outllook option "keep a copy of the message in the server"

i can't see any emails when i jump to sales....inbox. i can't see the emails in the webmail when i login as sales@domain to horde webmail which is correct but i can see all the emails through my main account INBOX.....sales..inbox

    INBOX
. . . . sales (i see the 500 emails in this account and can read them etc.. )
    . . . . . inbox
    . . . . marketing
    . . . . . inbox
    sales
    . . inbox (here i can't see any emails )
    marketing
    . . inbox
    neomail-trash
    saved-messages
    sent-mail

can u help me. why is this happening.??

    regards
    pankaj
