I'm new to cpanel, and I've had a client ask me a few questions about the webmail interface. I don't know the answers so hopefully someone can help me out.

    (1) What, if any, file attachment size limitations are there?

    (2) Does the webmail interface time-out if the user isn't doing anything?

I'm currently just setup to use the Horde interface.

    Thanks!

    Hi evisions,

Please look into the answers of your questions.

1)PHP sets limits on how large attached files can be. To change this limit, you need to edit the php.ini configuration file. The values you will need to increase or decrease are:

    [memory_limit]
    [post_max_size]
    [upload_max_filesize]

For more details refer the following URL:

    2) If you leave any Webmail session open and idle for more than 20 minutes, you will be logged out automatically. This is a security measure to prevent someone other than you from using that open connection to your account.

As soon as your connection timed out you will recieve the following message:

"The webmail server process associated with your session is no longer running. If you were idle for more than 20 minutes, it timed out automatically."

Hope this will help you .

    Regards,
    :)
