webmail won't change his language.

hello, I'm japanese web host manager using cpanel.
I installed WHM 11.32.2 (build 15) on CentOS6.2 x86_64.
and I found a problem that webmail both horde and squirrelmail would not change there language.
login to horde using French, Deuch or Japanese, there is still English menu.
also try to login to squirrel mail and change preference of language Japanese, French or so on, it is still English menu.
Is there someting new setting on cPanel?

I tried,

A.
under squirrelmail directory,
cd /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail/config

change config.php

$squirrelmail_default_language = 'ja_JP';
$default_charset = 'iso-2022-jp'

-> webmail is still English and unable to change, even though preference show "Japanese"


B.
install older version cPanel 11.25.0-E41565 - WHM 11.25.0 on same server -> webmail language can change and working fine.

Exactly the same issue here. Language change works only with roundcube. Cloudlinux 6.2, cpanel v. 11.32.2.18. Any fix for this?

I updated 11.32.2.25 and still met same issue.

Hello samai,

When you go to the main webmail login area, do you have a language selector there at https://domain.com:2096 area? If so, can you select the language in question and let us know the results? It might be detecting from the login screen interface instead.

If that does not fix the issue, please submit a ticket using WHM > Support Center > Contact cPanel or using the link in my signature. Please ensure to provide an example email account for testing purposes along with the password for that email account.

Please post the ticket number here after submitting one.

hello, this problem is still remain.

The fix for this issue is to remove /var/cpanel/3rdparty directory. It's directory used for additional/parallel cpanel php installation that is installed after issuing /scripts/makecphp command.
This solution was found by cPanel support after long and deep investigation.
This way I fixed two servers.
Hope that help you to resolve this issue.

I remove /var/cpanel/3rdparty, then access webmail, all problem are gone.
