webmailpasswd.cgi doesn't work for add-on domains

The webmailpasswd.cgi that allows users to change their password does not work for Add-On Domains. The customer can use the 'Change Password' link under Manage Accounts in CPanel to change the passwords for users just fine, but that link that allows the individual user to change it on the spawned window that shows NeoMail and Horde does not work if the account is an Add-On Domain.

We've replicated this issue over and over on multiple servers. We've had a ticket open for over a week and haven't gotten any response. Anyone have any ideas? We're about to lose a lot of customers over this issue.

Also, when you use that webmailpasswd.cgi link, the 'Return' link that it presents you with after 'changing' your password doesn't take you anywhere either.

Ability to change password on Add-on Domains

Hi there,

We had the same problem, until we decided to go and investigated why this is not possible.

I'm happy to tell to you we have modified a file to make this possible. This is an UNOFFICIAL fix, I'm not sure if CPanel would like to use it but you can use it if you want, I'm sure it won't create any harm.

Please replace "dowebmailpasswd.cgi" on /usr/local/cpanel/base with the file attached to this message (zipped).

Warmest Regards,
