I just noticed a new link - WHM > Software > Website Maintenance Services - since I updated my release build of WHM today. When clicked on, it just produces a blank page in the main frame. Anyone know what it's supposed to do?

It lets you purchase and resell services from Edit.com

First go to WHM -> Themes -> Change WHM Theme and click the link for X. This will ensure you are on the X theme. I know for some people, they used third party themes in the past and that can cause issues like this for pages that are new in WHM 11.

If you continue seeing a blank page, go to WHM -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings. Check the setting for The maximum memory a cPanel process can use before it is killed off (in megabytes). Values less than 128 megabytes can not be specified.:. You want to ensure it is at least 128, I know many customers seem to be recommending 256 in various circumstances.

If you continue seeing a blank page, go to WHM -> cPanel -> Upgrade to Latest Version and check Force a reinstall even if the system is update to date.

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the reply.

I was using X for a theme, having no other installed. I changed my max memory setting from 128 to 256, but that didn't do it. I did a force update. That didn't work either. I still get a blank page with only ...

Could it be firewall? Does it require any special ports?

That page does not require any special ports to be open (other than the usual 2086/2087 that WHM requires). You may want to submit a support request regarding this issue.

Thanks. I have submitted a ticket (possibly twice). Should I be getting a confirmation of the ticket?

I'll put my two bits on re-creating this error with the latest Release build, I tried the suggested corrections listed, still a no-go.

I had a support ticket and cpanel had a look around at my server and a couple others. It was confirmed as a bug and should be addressed soon. Here is the bugtracker entry if you want to follow it.

I wonder how much cpanel got paid by edit.com to have their crappy services advertised in WHM like this.

I dont have any interest in edit.com and I object to cpanel forcing them down our throats. If I wanted to use their services I'd go to their website. There is no requirement to have this kind of integration in cpanel and I dont think it is appropriate.

This info was posted to the bugtracker this morning. I gather the link wasn't really supposed to be there (at least by default) in the first place.

I'm curious if there are any reviews of edit.com services somewhere to read up on. So others can make an informed decision.

fwiw, I totally agree too. I don't begrudge cPanel possibly making something on the side if edit.com was truly the best of the best; that could possibly even be justifiable. However, they are not the best for service and they are certainly not the best value for money. This gives them a huge unfair advantage over other companies which IMO are a lot better.
