I'm currently employed as a front end developer and would like to increase my exp with wordpress and cpanel. My current task is to find out why a customers website simply stopped working. From cpanel's side everything seems fine as the server status reports no problems, however as soon as the url is typed into the browser all i see is a "website not reached" error. What are the steps I can follow to figure this out?

Hey there! There's different levels of "stopped working" so it would help to be a bit more specific. For example, when you turn the ignition of your car and it doesn't start, do you get any lights at all? Does the starter crank? Both will keep the car from starting, but they lead us down different troubleshooting paths.

If you're getting a "website not reached" error from multiple locations, the first thing to check would be the DNS for the site. I like the Intodns.com website as that will show you a full report on the health of your DNS, including the nameservers. Try scanning the domain with that tool and see if that gets you pointed in the right direction, or we can go from there if things look good.
