I run the website sledirect.co.uk however since last month without any change to cpanel/files on the server it now redirects to my hosting providers page cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi .

I first dulpicated the site which is prestashop over to another server/host incuding database files , only changed the domain name in the config and works perfectly.

The hosting provider advises that they have made no changes at all, they suggest the fault is with the config of the cpanel or the cart itself but i have ruled the cart out as it works on another server.

Also the site works if i go to the admin page of the cart i can log on etc. I had someone from prestashop check out presta install to make 100% sure and they confirm no issues with the presta installation.

Also i have no access to the domain this is managed by the same provider.

Anyone advise if there is anything on cpanel that could be causing this issue?

Response from server provider
PHP:
As per our previous advice, the evidence points to the cause being something related to a customer-controlled change. We are able to look into this further for you, but it would be a chargeable review - we have not made changes to our server environment, and the web site can be broken by any number of changes via cPanel or the content.

Your test really only confirms what we suspect, in that the problem is either the shopping cart system OR the cPanel user-controlled configuration has been changed - it is quite probably the latter at a guess from your test.

We haven't made any changes here - and the behaviour tends to mirror where someone has changed the configuration of the domains.

If you're happy for us to review this as a chargeable support case, then we'll review further on your behalf.

Hello :)

Do you have root access to the server? If not, and if you only have reseller access, simply make sure the IP address the domain name resolves to is the same IP address assigned to the account in Web Host Manager.

Thank you.

You mentioned the issue occurring again. Could you review my previous post and let us know if you reviewed those steps/comments?

Thank you.
