Hi there,

I hope someone can help here with a strange problem.

I have a server with two account on it, running fine. Let's call them acc1 and acc2.

I now mounted an nfs server filesystem on home/acc2. Please don't ask why I'm doing that

Anyway, now if I try to create a new acc on the server, for some reason, cpanel tries to create the acc under /home/acc2/. This of course fails because of wrong permissions.

I read some other threads about problem with NFS and cpanel, but most of them were a few years old.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Bjorn

Hello Bjorn,

Please change the following in WHM > Basic cPanel & WHM Setup area:

Additional home directories matching the following value will also be used for new home directory creations. (Leaving this value blank disables the feature.) This option only takes one value.
You would change it from home default to be blank entirely. This is what is causing the new mount at /home/acc2 to be detected as a usable location for new accounts to be created.

Thanks Tristan,

Once again you helped me with a perfect straight to the point solution.

The account is now created fine under /home :D

Thanks again,
Bjorn
