ive got a few sites on one server that on first inspection are using 10 times their normal bandwidth per day..

for example a site that uses around 30Mb per day is suddenly using 300 per day.

Ive checked thru AWStats, Analog and webalizer and they all match the correct 30Mb per day average but cpanel and whm are reporting the 300mb a day and so these clients are all gettting suspended.

Ive even terminated these accounts affected and restored from backup but they still have the same issues....

anyone have any ideas what could be going on and or how i can reset their bandwidths to 0 for the month so they start from scratch

Take a peek at /var/cpanel/users/username, where 'username' is the actual account username.

Among other things, you'll find each account's domain names listed. If there are duplicates of domains, or subdomains, then bandwidth usage can be incorrectly reported.

Removing the duplicates tends to sort it out. It sounds like this is a possible cause.

For more clear instructions as to how to safely delete duplicates, search the forums for "bandwidth double".

ah that was my first point of call... no duplicates everything is in order.

and terminating the accou8nts and restoring from backup i thought would have resolved it but nope...
