    Hi,

Any reason why my first name is listed in the SOA?

    mysite.com
    SOA
    1 day
    ns1.mysite.com. firstname.mysite.com.

Can I change it to server or ns2?

    Hello,

Is it possible that you manually edited the entry in the past, or that it was your hostname at some point? Also, yes, you can use the "Edit DNS Zone" option in WHM to modify the record. Ensure you add a period after the NS entry when modifying the SOA record.

    Thank you.

That SOA value is supposed to be an email address(@ is replaced with .) and it was probably taken from my root email address. I changed it to hostmaster.mysite.com. All good now

    Thank you
