I'm getting these files in /tmp all of a sudden.

What are they? They range from 100-200meg.

They're safe to remove. Every cPanel server at some stage will get them and can vary in size.

    Go on, have a guess
They are temporary files used by various scripts that upload files to a users cPanel account, i.e. File Manager. They ought to be removed afterwards, but sometimes they get orphaned off. It's perfectly safe to delete them.
