I'd like to know if mod_perl has any more positive effects, except some mod_perl functions such as complementary functions with php in auth-textual processes, in Apache (version 2.2) that runs php-script-based websites.
Simply speaking, for a limited-size VPS that hosts several php-script websites, it seems good to disable mod_perl in the Apache compile to save some memory usage for mod_perl uses a few rams, but what are the specific negative dysfunctions in the Apache if mod_perl is turned off, and Apache will have some obvious lowered performances?
Any advice and tip are highly expected and appreciated!
