What does SSH have ability to do?

I have the ability to enable SSH. What does this have to ability to do? Is it helpful?, etc..

SSH is how most of us prefer to administer the server. Just about anything you can do in WHM you can do in a shell (ssh). It is the most basic and powerful way to access your server.

That being said if you enable it you need to make sure your server is secure. Do you own the server or are you a reseller?
