Can someone please tell me what /dev/null means in the 'contact emails' in the 'accounts' area of whm. Will it cause any issues at all.

    Go on, have a guess
IF someone has set that to /dev/null then any emails intended for that accout (e.g. overquota emails) will simply be discarded by exim - not usually a good idea.
