Hey,

i am a newbie in cpanel and wanted to set up the smtp server for my website. This worked fine and now i have the problem that my emails sent from my server are marked as spam - google, hotmail/outlook.

I already have an MX record, SPF record, DKIM record that is valid and also recognized. Apache SpamAssistant is also enabled and countless tests online show that my mailserver is configured correctly. A rDNS is also present and correctly set as well as the hostname.

Could someone possibly help me what I am doing wrong?

Hey there! It's completely possible you aren't doing anything wrong, and your messages can still end up in spam.

If your domain name is hosted at the same location you're sending email from, I'm not seeing that IP listed on any of the major blacklists when I scan the address here:

However, that doesn't mean that major providers, such as Microsoft or Google, aren't blocking that IP, as there aren't great tools to detect that until you see the message get filtered into spam.

Since this is a new hosting account, it would be best to reach out to the provider to see if they can do some additional testing on the IP address as it could have had a poor reputation before it was even assigned to your account.
