Disabling an icon in the cPanel interface will not disable the accompanying daemons that provide such functionality.

Here's a related forum post for how to disable cpdavd: http://forums.cpanel.net/showpost.php?p=313410&postcount=13

Note, by disabling this - your users will not be able to use WebDisk (WebDav) on your server.

Why not allow the user to disable this in WHM from starting up? i don't like the fact that the configs get overwritten on each update. :(

From what I read at bugzilla, this has been implemented in builds 23269+. That's a very cool news for this issue. Thanks!! :D
