We have a machine that we didn't use anymore.

It has 2 sites on it and waiting for backup issues.
It has cpanel on it and we are planning to stop paying for license.

What will happen when our license is expired?
We only need apache and mysql, will they continue to work, any idea?

If you already have an backup then there is no need to pay for license. You can also manually backup directly from SSH if you have an access to the server.

Everything will work as it is, just you won't be able to access the web interface of WHM and cPanel. If you know all the scripts that works in the back ground, you can manage your server without a cPanel license.

This information is enough for me thank you.
I don't need any web interface of cPanel or any script :)
I only need working apache and mysql as you said.
