What files and directories count toward a user's quota? On one of my servers, I've had several users complain that cPanel thinks they are using much more space than they are actually using. In one particular case, cPanel is reporting the client is using 100MB more than is in his home directory + MySQL databases. Where are these extra files located?

    ETA: Also, what is /home/virtfs?

There are no other locations that can consume a user's quota. Check /tmp directory also and delete files under that user. You can view the detailed quota of a user by the command,

    quota -vs username

This will display the space consumed by the user in each drive.

This user clearly has 147 MB in his home directory and one MySQL database that is less than 100 KB, yet cPanel and quota show his disk usage as 293.54 MB. Why could this be happening?
