Ok, this is what WHM Docs say. It looks quite confusing:

&Indicate whether this account is an IP address or not in the Ip tick box. If ticked, all accounts created with this package can not use a domain name.&

:-?

I keep on reading this but don't get it. What this has to do with package and domain name? :p

Two kinds of hosting could be offered by considering IP address as the main criteria:
IP tick

1. IP based Hosting : each domain has its own uniquely specified IP, which can be used to access that domain; Which means that you have to have a unique IP address for each domain

2. Name Based Hosting: All domains use a shared IP and just the names separate them and you can’t access those domains on a shared hosting basis just by IP address, the only way is their names; one IP address is enough to serve hundreds of domains but for example you can’t have private SSL for each domain

Welll this is good in Packages, but in New Account this is confusing: &If ticked, all accounts created with this package can not use a domain name& :p

This is from WHM Docs of New Account ;)
