What is possible fix for "httpd has failed.."?

    It happens from time to time (it actually just happened again - a server is down right now) that apache fails with this error message:

    httpd has failed, please contact the sysadmin.

    What is the possible fix for this? What should I look for, which file to edit etc. Hope that someone will share. :)

    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    Run this command in 'root'

    /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -t

    Hopefully it will give an idea as to the problem.

    tail -f /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log and see what the errors it output when it died.
