What is the correct way to upgrade Squirrelmail?

    Can anyone help on how to upgrade Squirrelmail to the latest version?

    Do you have your own install or are you talking about the cpanel default install? If you're talking about the cpanel install you should wait for them to update it, since it has a few patches.

    Just looking at it now - a possible solution is to set the immutable bit (+i) on the squirrelmail folder.

    I'll update the article once I've got a suitable answer.
