What is the "nimbus(spooler)" process and why is it taking 100% CPU?

Hello,

When you aren't certain what a process is doing, you could lsof the process number to see:

Code:
lsof -p 30531
The process will then show what libraries and other files it is accessing for running. You can see more details about it at this location:

Project Computing - Products

If you grep for nimbus in /etc/services it is also listed:

Code:
grep -i nimbus
Here's the company that appears to make it:

NIM TP Monitor - CCA Software Pty Ltd

I suggest contacting your datacenter, NOC or provider for further details to see if there's a reason it's being used.

Thanks!
