What is the recommended permission setting for wordpress upload folder

Hello,
I am currently having problems with a wordpress site that I migrated
from a VPS. The admin can´t upload files using the wordpress backend
and he is getting a 403 error message.

I have checked CPanel files manager and the current permission setting is 0755

Hey there! 755 would be the correct permissions, so I would expect that to work well. Do you know if the site is using suPHP or ruid2 for the handler? If not, it's possible that Wordpress won't be able to read the directory structure.

Since the account was migrated you may also want to confirm the ownership on the files and directories as well.
