What is these process ?

    Hi

    What is these process :

    1-
    /usr/bin/python2 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=NewsRunner:0:1 -s

    2-
    /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/myhostname.pid --skip-locking


    3-
    /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -DSSL

    yes , but I find out many of these process on our server , but at that time server havnot any user ?(just 4 or 5 user)

    I want to know that realy what do this process ?

    1- Mailman Program
    2- Mysql process (is you server name server.zanbil.net ?)
    3- Apache process (web server)


    When people access your sites these apache processes spaun ..if those sites use mySQL databases those processes also spaun.

    it is quite possible for the apache process

    /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -DSSL

    to be the incarnation of one of the recent worms that have been going around... you'd have to check the process more closely to find out what it really is. However, you seem to have said that the server isn't being used, ( or is only lightly being used?), it may simply be Apache itself.

    If the httpd process is contantly consuming a lot of cpu time, then it's likely to be a worm that is actively doing bad thing...
