    Hello,

    I have a latest cpanel install on fbsd 5.4. I am using exim/courier-imap that cpanel installed through ports.

    - What message filters does squirrelmail (that comes with cpanel) support?

    - There's no conf.pl under /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail/config. I can't check installed, available plugins and setup new plugins. How to install new plugins now?

    ; =====================================================

    In general, no matter if I use squirrelmail or Horde with exim (maildir format), I want to enable message filtering, so that email is sent directly to subcribed folders as soon as it is received.

    Please advise

    Check Squirrelmail Web site for additional plugins.

    missing plugins, how to install new ones manually?

    Hello,

    1) Some plugins are missing from squirrelmail in cpanel;

    - 'Filters'
    - 'Spellcheck'

    There's only one plugin that's in my squirrelmail/config/config.php

    Line 79: $plugins[0] = 'cpanel_auth';

    I want to install message filters (client side, sieve format), if I can't install avelsieve (server side message filter from squirrelmail)

    2) Why!!! did cpanel remove 'filters' plugin from squirrelmail? I just can't understand the reason behind this...

    3) Since squirrelmail/config/conf.pl is not there, how do I install new plugins manually? One way I'v thought of is;

    - download plugins
    - untar them into squirrelmail/plugins
    - add to $plugins[] in squirrelmail/config/config.php

    Is is a sound way to do it?

    I'm very much angry at cpanel for removing 'filters' plugin. I need!! a replacement/fix for this as soon as possible.

    Please! help

    Yes. Just be aware that on cPanel updates the config.php will be reset to the defaults. Personally have opted to either use a webmail app like Hastymail or install SM in a separate directory that doesn't get overwritten on cPanel updates.

    I want to file a bug report

    Hello,

    I hate the fact that cpanel can't be geared to a cutomer's requirements. What's a product worth if its not satisfying the requirements of its customers?

    Why would people need cpanel, if they had to manually make changes everytime, they needed something to work the way they want it to work.

    This is rediculous!!

    Go on, have a guess
    Then you need to be more realistic. Any such product is a compromise between providing features for a wide range of customer uses. The inbuilt software is preconfigured to use in the cPanel environment and what you get is what you see. If you want something else, then you'll have to provide it yourself.
