What news features are you looking for on the cPanel home page?

We had a few ideas and some other forum users and customers have mentioned some additional ones.

Here is what I've heard so far.

1. We want news on the right of the home page.
2. We want news on the left of the home page.
3. We want news on the top of the home page.
4. We want the news area to be larger so we can show more marketing information.
5. We want the news area to be user dismissible from the home page to get it out of the way.
6. We want a special kind of "news" for important server messages from the administrators.
7. We want a news synopsis on the home page and the ability to go to a full page news application from there.

What other ideas have you all had for the news part of the home page?

Well it would be also nice if news messages could be populated in from twitter for example. Short status messages are mostly written there...

Additionally to News, it would be great to include Twitter Updates and buttons for other social networks.

Let me see if I understand your idea:

1) Provide a section for news that is feed from a twitter account.

Questions:
How may tweets should be displayed? Only the latest one? Several recent?

2) Provide button on the home page to the host/resellers twitter feed, face book page, linked in page.

Questions:
Are there any other specific social media sites than the ones I listed?
Should reseller ones replace the hosting company ones or should both sets be shown?

I want to see like fuel gauges for Disc space, Bandwidth & File usage

I see the ( like fuel gauges ) in your screen shot ( top right ) but not on the demo.
with the percentage in the middle of the circle.


I want it so the Host ( NOT user ) to customize the whole of cpanel

* Colour
* Move all boxes to where they want it.
( as some people want stuff on the right and some people want stuff on the left. )

* Able to limit the file usage ( Like Inodes ) atm you have Unlimited.
