    Does

    # ls -l /proc/$pid

    Help any? (replace $pid with the actual process ID that you see against the process.)

    As the user is cpanel, I would say its cpanel, but the above may help narrow it down a bit.

    Things like horde, sqmail, etc will bring up those php proceses since php is running as a cgi for the internal cpanel scripts.
