    If you don't want to use Edge all you have to do is the following:

    nano -w /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/awstats.pl
    or
    pico -w /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/awstats.pl
    or
    whichever text editor you perfer

    Control + W
    if ($QueryString =~ /configdir=([^&]+)/i)

    Replace:
    f ($QueryString =~ /configdir=([^&]+)/i) { $DirConfig=&DecodeEncodedString("$1"); }

    With:
    if ($QueryString =~ /configdir=([^&]+)/i) { $DirConfig=&DecodeEncodedString("$1");
    $DirConfig=~tr/a-z0-9_\-\/\./a-z0-9_\-\/\./cd; }

    Control + X, and save.

    I don't think awstats.pl is remotely accessible on cpanel systems? So, it would just be local users you'd have to watch out for. The patch is quite easy to apply though, so you might as well apply it.
