What's .cpan in the home directory for?

    It has some mods and some other junk, is this a new thing that cpanel uses?

    .cpan folder in the /home directory..

    I think it's the config file used when installing Perl modules via the CPAN Module.
    Have you done any of that as the user who has it in it's home directory?

    I did click the option to allow perl mod updates from the vendor but besides that There is only two accounts on their and neither have done anything yet. I set the server up yesterday. :confused:

    Probably a default file like a .bash_history or somethign. What's inside it?

    It's actually a directory with perl mods in it. I will check it out and get the files and folders and post it. Probably not a big deal but this guy has been hacked so i am little extra cautious about things. Re-setting up a server is a pain :D

    Oh yeah, it's the directory the cpan module uses while installing mods.

    I'd search fopr it at search.cpan.org to find out more maybe ".cpan directory" or "CPAN.pm"
