This is appearing while doing an update on WHM:

Warning: This index file is 62 days old.
Please check the host you chose as your CPAN mirror for staleness.
I'll continue but problems seem likely to happen.

I too would like to know what the solution or fix for this is, as we clients asking about it.

    Thanks Jim

    Going to read /home/.cpan/sources/modules/02packages.details.txt.gz

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's only certain mirrors that are out of date as I get this same message now and then on different machines.

make sure WHM >> Server Setup >> Tweak Settings >> Allow perl updates from rpm based linux vendors is checked, that will allow the use of alternative mirrors.

    Thanks Chirpy :)

For the past three days /scripts/upcp was giving me:-
    ...
    http://cpan.teleglobe.net/modules/02packages.details.txt.gz

I tried the steps you suggest in the other topic (repeated here for the convenience of people searching for this same problem)
    Code:
    rm -Rf /root/.cpcpan
    rm -Rf /root/.cpan
    rm -Rf /home/.cpan

    /scripts/perlinstaller
Yesterday that didn't fix it, today it did :)
It appears that teleglobe have two IP#'s associated with "cpan.teleglobe.net". One in the USA 207.45.221.24 which is currently down, and one in the UK 195.219.14.24 which is up. Whether that confused the mirror check or not I don't know, but at least my server is good to go now :)

    Cheers!
    Marty
