Its been 2 weeks and no word of anything about a fix to the WHM X skin.

Is anything being done about it?

No idea. Have you tried searching bugzilla for relevant entries and updating them to get cPanels attention?

One of our new installs has broken red X images on just about all the graphics in WHM. Doesn't bother us so much, but the resellers hate it.

New cPanel installations have broken images in WebHost Manager's list accounts section. This is because during the most recent installations of cPanel, the "default" directory is not copied to /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend. You can fix the problem by copying the frontend diretory from an older machine to the one.
