Incase a user's disk space goes full, the mails actually should be bounced to the sender actually. Now what i am seeing on the server at present is that the mails are stuck on the mail server and exim tries to deliver them continuously for 4 days and then ultimately bounces it off. Can't we have mail bounced off if the account is full ? This would actually also help to keep the mail server traffic under control. Atleast for me i hope.

    Any comments ??

    regards,

    Anand

I agree... though I wouldn't want to bounce back the entire message, as there are instances when someone sends massive (40+MB) attachments to a max 20MB email account and don't really want to &return the favor& by bogging down their email server too.
