In the past, email accounts were limited to 2 GB in size if I remember correctly. Now it's unlimited.
I still find it strange and weird that cPanel is one if not the only control panel that doesn't have quota limits per user mailbox. Even open source/free control panel have this.
Now I see some users in the forums complaining that they want to limit email accounts size because some customers are using all the disk space with emails.
Seriously cPanel team. This should be implemented in cPanel. As a provider or cPanel admin, you should be able to set the Max Quota that customers can set for email accounts. So if you set 1 GB, customers can only create email accounts with 1 GB space limit. If you set 10 GB in another plan, customers in that package can't have email accounts over 10 GB in size. This is per mailbox quota. Customers can choose their mailbox quota today when creating accounts, so why can't providers set a limit for the maximum limit?
I saw this was requested as a feature more than once, but I cannot find it anymore. Is this planned? Is there any ETA? We are seriously thinking about disabling email completely on cPanel servers and moving all emails out of cPanel servers because of this. Without granular email limits on packages, this is just prompt to abuse.
