Been testing tonight and I can not figure out under what circumstances cPanel uses the simple zone template. Anyone know?

    Hello :)

The "simple" zone template is for domains with an A entry only. For example, this occurs when selecting the "Add an A Entry for this nameserver" option in "WHM >> Basic cPanel & WHM Setup".

    Thank you.

Is that the only time the simple zone template is used?

It's also utilized when you create a zone when adding an "A" entry for the server's hostname.

    Thank you.
