I was just wondering when you would use the Update cageFS skeleton button? It's in the
CageFS User Manager section in WHM.

    Hi @WebHostPro

Any time you update the file contents of the files included in the cagefs dir you'd want to update cagefs. You can read about their filesystem templates here: CloudLinux Documentation and maybe a bit more insight into why you're running it here: CageFS update

    Thanks!

    Hi @cPanelLauren

So after adding a new user I should also click the "Update cageFS skeleton button' or just when adding changes to the skeleton? I feel like adding a user is making changes to the skeleton.

    Hi @WebHostPro

That is run automatically after you add a new user. It's part of a script hook CloudLinux automatically adds for you.

    Thanks!

If you ever have to add something to the server manually, though the command line or via pecl or pear, you can update the cagefs skeleton so that any appropriate links are created. We had to do this a couple of times in the past to get the module/extension to run for a cagefs user.
