    Hello @srjonet,

Can you check to ensure the .zip file on the source server is owned by the account username and not by "root"? The transfer process will not be able to transfer the file if it's not owned by the account username. Here's a command you can use to check:

    Code:
    ls -al /home/username/file.zip
If you want to update ownership to the account username so it can transfer over, use this command:

    Code:
    chown username.username /home/username/file.zip
    Thank you.

    Hello,

Can you provide more information about what's not working after the transfer? Do you receive a specific error message when opening the website? Is this a separate issue to the missing file?

    Thank you.

Cpanel push me massge you must upgrade centos to v7 ,, .
Now I can not find the site files on the new server. The old server was upgraded to the seventh version. So the site was deleted automatically.
After the update, the old server returned to work and returned the sites to the server through the property of transfer tools, and then the error appears only one of the sites.
I ask where can find copy of backup in new server .
    Can give me location .
For transfer sites i use transfer tools from old server to new server . And i back site to old server get error .
    Thanks cpanel team .

    Hello @srjonet,

Thank you for the additional information. Backup archives are not generated as part of the Transfer Tool, so the location of the backup archives depends on where you stored them on the source server. How did you generate the backups?

Also, if your website isn't working after the transfer, please open a support ticket so we can take a closer look. You can post the ticket number here and I'll link this thread to the ticket.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

To update, it looks like parts of the public_html directory for the affected account were not fully restored during the initial transfer attempt due to an error during the transfer process. Thus, upon reinstalling the OS and cPanel on the source server, and copying the account from the destination server back to the newly setup source server, the contents remained missing. The advice in the support ticket was to restore the account's data from any available backups taken prior to the initial transfer.

    Thank you.
