Where are individual site emails stored?

If someone had [email protected] as an email... where would those messages be stored if I needed to remove them for him?

They are usual stored in this area;

/home/user/mail/

Under that should be the mailbox for each mail id as well as for subdomains in this area

/home/user/mail/subdomain/

You will find them in /home/&username&/mail/dave/ directory.

All I see in there is one file called inbox. Shouldn't there be a seperate file for each email message? Or will deleting the inbox file delete every message on the account?

The inbox file is all the messages.
