where are the contact e-mail addresses located?

Hi,

for a script for our customers I need to find in which file the mail addresses of each account are stored. I searched in the most common folders like /usr/local/cpanel and /var/cpanel but couldn't find them?

Anybody got a clue? :confused:

Do you mean the contact address that users set in their control panel?

They are located in:

/home/<username>/.contactemail

Where <username> refers to the username of the specific account on your server.

You can get a list of the .contactemail files by running:

find /home -maxdepth 2 -name .contactemail
