I'm new to cPanel and coming from Plesk.

    I want to setup a secure login-section on my website but I don't see a https-folder in my document-root ?!

Where do I place my http & php pages for secure http ???

In cPanel, http and https are shared in the public_html folder.

There is no demand for saving an unsigned certificate, I get the following :

    Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to voipcenter.be.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

    (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

What I did was ask a page from the public_html-directory with https://...

What is now necessary for me to do ??

Have you re-installed the SSL certificate for the domain via WHM?
