There are several ways to go about doing this ...

If you SSH into your server, you can directly edit the zone file located at /var/named/(domain).db and then just restart the "named" service.

In WHM, you can go to "EDIT A DNS ZONE" ...

Under Cpanel, you can update the mail exchange (MX) record if your server is configured to allow you to do that although that may possibly be too limited for what you need to do.

1. Login to WHM.
2. Click on "Edit DNS zone".
3. Choose the domain name for which you wish to edit CNAME record.
4. Enter your unique string like googlefffggghhh12345 in first text box.
5. Choose record type CNAME in third text box.
6. Enter Value/Destination in last text box. (For example, google.com)
7. Click Save button to submit the changes.

Note: The changes may take few hours to propagate across the globe.
