Where to find latest software versions?

Hi,
The cPanel site used to have a list of all provided software (such as phpBB) and the latest version numbers. Where can I find this info? I can't seem to locate it on the new site and the info would be useful to see if my host is up to date.
Thanks!
Ben

Go on, have a guess
There's no such list. The only information available is what you see in WHM and the information on layer2.cpanel.net and the changelogs.

Thanks! That is helpful as I can at least make sure my WHM and cPanel versions are the latest ones (though the date of the last update in WHM is a clue).

In case you happen to know - any idea why it is taking so long for cPanel to add the latest phpBB version? There is always a delay but this is longer than usual (still at 2.0.19 and 2.0.21 was released a while back).

Thanks again.

Thanks ujr! I had checked my WHM changelogs and everything was up to date but your stating that phpBB 2.0.21 should have been included made me check the individual cPanels and, for some reason, they are NOT up to date.

Somehow things are not propagating and I have contacted my admin.

Thank you both again for your much appreciated help,
Ben

One more quick question - the phpBB option has disappeared from the "bulletin board" option (the yellow smiley face icon) and is replaced with "Yabb" in the latest cPanel incarnation. phpBB is still available under "scripts" but not in the area I just described...

Is this normal and is there a way to make the "scripts" area recognize a phpBB forum that was installed in the old "bulletin board" area?

Thanks!

it is normal, due to constant security problems cpanel decided to make yabb the default as its more secure (although not brilliant itself)

If you want the bb icon to point at phpbb instead you would have to edit the theme as its hardcoded into the html (/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x/index.html)

Yabb? Another PhpBB2 vuln application. It always has security issue. Why Cpanel would choose to make this YABB available is beyond comprehension. I wouldnt install YABB if it was the one and only forum application on the planet.

Thanks - you guys are great. I agree phpBB seems to release patches every other day due to new security issues but I too do not comprehend the choice of Yabb over phpBB. Yabb seems to still have many features lacking (or "in development") and hasn't had a public release since 2005...

Anyhow, thanks again for answering my question.

Were you able to find a solution to this? I can't get phpBB to go above 2.0.19.

The odd thing is, in WHM >> Install cPAddons >> cPAddon Scripts Installer/Updater, I see:

cPanel Bulletin Boards 1 phpBB (2.0.21)

This server has cPanel [10.9.0-STABLE_35] installed.

and where do you see 2.0.19?
The user's cPanel interface shows:

---------------------------------------------------------
cPAddon cPanel::Bulletin_Boards::phpBB
This is a cPanel packaged module. (v0.1)

Website: http://phpbb.com/
Description: (v2.0.21)
PHP/MySQL Based Bulletin Board

[...installation stuff...]

Manage:
v2.0.19 forum
---------------------------------------------------------

At the bottom, the 'Upgrade:' option only lists v2.0.19.

Also, PHPBB Admin ToolKit 2.1 reports version 2.0.19.
