    Hello,

According to this bug report http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=14515 there's a bug in the mysqldump utility which prevents mysqldump'ing databases using compatability argument by not marking the auto_increment primary keys, so it's a needed upgrade, any idea how to do it the clean rpm way without messing with cPanel would be appreciated !

well, looks like it's turning out to be out of cpanel's hands, according to this changeset page http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/news-5-0-23.html it looks like 5.0.23 isn't yet released, may be i should be looking for their cvs repo and do it the hard painy way.. any other ideas would be nice :)

"Do not use these snapshots in your production environments — MySQL AB does not provide any support for these and you are entirely on your own, if you experience data loss because of using a snapshot release."

But here's the link if you are keen :)
