I know we all have our favorite HTTPDs, but I'm just curious - what Apache version (or versions) do you use and why?

Apache 2.2, due to better performance over the previous version trees of the software and that it just works out of the box and is easy to modify.

Lighttpd has it's charm, but I'd rather use Apache and allocate less users per hardware node than being able to put more users on the same servers. (There are also other factors than the webserver daemon alone) Also, certain parts of the terms of service are not that great, imho.

Nginx has it's charm, but not using it on anything client hosting related. Not a stranger to using it for single projects though.

Aka, it all depends what to use under which circumstances :)

2.2 is just great for me, and waiting for much more advance version of Apache.

2.2. And begining to consider abandoning dual PHP 4/5 in favor of only PHP 5.2.

Apache 2.2 + PHP 5.3.x - it's nice and fast compared to previous versions :)
